The purpose of the Final Essay is for you to compose an essay that demonstrates your
ability to synthesize information from various sources and explore conflict resolution.
Your challenge for your final research paper in this course is to present conflicting issues in our
criminal justice system and ways how you can minimize/mitigate these issues. This conflict can
be attributed to personnel, policies, procedures, training, etc. The essay must be written in a
creative and meaningful (thoughtful) way that is demonstrative of critical thinking.
Task
Make a five-to-seven-page paper addressing conflict resolution in criminal justice. Provide a
minimum of four (4) references using and using the current APA 6th edition citation form and
style in noting your sources. Sources that may come from the textbook, journal articles,
scholarly writings, other textbooks, and websites will be used in this essay. In-text citations in
your final paper are a must. Please don't use Wikipedia sources in your essay. Your essay draft
is due on the fourth (4th) week of the class. Your essay draft must be a minimum of Five hundred words.
Failure to submit the draft will result in a 20% penalty from the final paper grade.

4. Synthesis (Conclusion elaborate on your thoughts about the article and its findings)
