Something Wicked This Way Comes By Ray Bradbury Summary and Analysis Part II: Chapters 33-34

Will and Jim go into hiding, knowing now that the parading Carnival freaks are looking for them, too. They find momentary safety beneath the sidewalk grill of the cigar store while many fun-loving townsfolk line the streets to view the parade. On his way to Ned's Night Spot, Mr. Halloway stops and stands so close to the grill that Will can almost touch him. Will and Jim experience a frightful moment when a young boy discovers their hiding place while retrieving a piece of bubble gum.
