About University of AkronThe most popular major here is business and the most well-known is engineering with its excellent co-op programs. UA is one of the top 'wired for wireless' campuses in the nation so it's easy to get online to check up on e-mail, notes, grades, research, etc. There's a ton to do on campus, like going to the newly renovated rec center or student union, where you can bowl or shoot pool among a bunch of other fun stuff. Roughly half of students are here to party, usually at the bars or along frat row, but the other half are definitely hitting the books.
