About SUNY at BinghamtonD1 athletics has improved school spirit here, but overall the social scene is pretty sedate. The town itself doesn't have many options but there are several on campus clubs and organizations- students just need to seek them out. As any big school, there are a lot of options but some are hit or miss. Bio, nursing, psych, engineering, and poly sci departments are distinguished in the Northeast because of their many strengths; however, some other programs are simply mediocre. There is treasure to be found, and overall students really appreciate the affordability.
