About Lander UniversityA progressive and diverse university, Lander University began as Williamston female college in 1872. In 1904 the school moved to its present home and became LU named after is founder. The campus is just two hours from the beach as well as the blue ridge mountains. The curriculum is diverse with an exceptional science program. Students can also opt to take online courses. 90% of the graduates of LU who apply to medical school are accepted. Not bad for a small school in the south.
