What if I change my e-mail address?

If you change your e-mail address, log in and unsubscribe from CliffsNotes newsletters using your old e-mail account and then resubscribe with your new e-mail address.

What's the difference between standard text-only e-mail and an HTML-formatted message?

Standard text e-mail contains nothing fancier than text and text-based links - it's the sort of basic e-mail most people are accustomed to receiving. An HTML-formatted message, by contrast, can contain (in addition to text and text-based links) all kinds of images, colors, and other cool stuff. Not everyone can receive HTML-formatted messages, however. Check with your Internet service provider to find out if your e-mail system and software can handle HTML before you choose the HTML-formatted option.

Are the CliffsNotes newsletters really free?

Yes! Your CliffsTip deliveries will land in your inbox at absolutely no cost to you! Subscribers pay no fees or charges.

When will I start receiving CliffsNotes newsletters?

After you subscribe to one or more CliffsTip topics, your first CliffsTip deliveries should start arrive on the following Monday.

My e-mail is appearing in a weird format I can't read. What is it?

  1. Type your e-mail address into the blank box where the info's requested.
  2. Click the Submit button at the bottom of the page. A subscription-management page will appear. All of the CliffsTip topics that you currently subscribe to already will be checked.
  3. To change the format to standard text-only e-mail, click in the circle next to that option. A check mark will appear.

I'm going on vacation. How can I turn off my CliffsNotes newsletters for a while?

If you'd prefer not to receive CliffsNotes newsletters while you're gone, simply log in and unsubscribe from CliffsNotes newsletters and then, when you return, resubscribe to your CliffsNotes newsletters.

I'm not getting my CliffsNotes newsletters. Why is this happening? What can I do about it?

CliffsTip slips can occur (not because we want them to). Internet mail bounces for one reason or another, or your e-mail box might be full (perhaps without your even knowing it!), or your Internet service provider may be experiencing technical difficulties. If you've checked into all of those possibilities and don't see a solution, contact our support team for more help.
